Now you can watch the whole video of my performance at Auditorium San Fedele from last November. Six Bach's chorals, transcribed by Gyorgy Kurtag, were elaborated for electric guitar and electronics. Thanks to Andrea Bolzoni and Christian Tolle for their precious support.
Last Monday night I had a great concert at Auditorium San Fedele, Milan, for the Inner Spaces season and in co-production with Milano Musica Festival. I was commissioned an extended version with guitar and live electronics of six Bach's chorales transcribed by Gyorgy Kurtag. The result was a dreamy 35 minutes performance, with the essential aid of the Acusmonium amplification. I have to thank Antonio Pileggi, Giovanni Cospito and Filippo Berbenni; special gratitude goes to Andrea Bolzoni and Christian Tölle for the electronics. In the second part of the show, the weird and fascinating Mecanium Orchestra by Pierre Bastie...
"Good News! An official release date for the album reissue has been set: it is going to be called 1001 Autunni, it will be a 2CD set with the studio album plus a live album with one unreleased tune, very different versions of our tunes and some surprise here and there. Due on July the 13th, on AltrOck/Fading/Maracash, in a wonderful digipack edition. I'm taking a little sleigh ride down memory lane these days, will pop up with some unreleased pic and footage soon. And believe it or not, this is not the best news I have for you. More soon."

I have to thank San Fedele Musica for sharing this beautiful video of my last performance at Auditorium San Fedele, Milan (April 10th) for Inner Spaces series. It's my personal interpretation of Arvo Pärt's "Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten". My gratitude goes to Antonio Pileggi, Tony Correnti, Giovanni Cospito and Stefano Sbarbaro.
KUBIN duo with Elena Talarico will be on stage twice during next month. On November 4th Alterazioni Festival will host us in the beautiful Sala della Musica at Villa Litta di Lainate, while on the 16th we'll play in Lecco at Circolo Libero Pensiero. In Lainate the audience will enjoy not only a new composition by Bill Whitley ("Meditazioni sulla Dharmachakra", written for the duo), but also "Pilar" by Girolamo De Simone, "Variations op. 27" by Anton von Webern, "In a Landscape" by John Cage and a visionary version of "Dido's Lament" by Henry Purcell.
Last Sept 22nd Yugen came back on stage at Casa di Alex, Milan. An hour of music, from "Brachilogia7" (2006) to "Death by Water" and "Cinically Correct" (2016). Here's the video of "Cloudscape" (2010). Thanks to Antonio De Sarno for the shot and Paolo Botta for the audio mix. Enjoy!
Last Friday, Sept 22nd, Yugen had a great concert at Casa di Alex, Milan, with the Canadian band Miriodor. Maurizio Fasoli (piano), Alessandro Cassani (bass), Carmelo Miceli (drums), Paolo Botta (keyboards), Valerio Cipollone (clarinets), Stefano Ferrian (tenor sax) offered a great performance, seven songs spanning from "Labirinto d'acqua" (2006) to "Iridule" (2010) and "Death by Water" (2016). Wonderful and loud night.
Here you can see a gallery from the show (photos by Antonio De Sarno, Alessandro Achilli, Elena Talarico).
Last June 18th I had the pleasure to take part to the annual Tribute to Claudio Rocchi organized by Antonello Cresti at Spazio Ligera in Milan. Five acts in one night: I was followed by Maurizio Marsico & Riccardo Sinigaglia, Tai-No Orchestra (Filippo Monico, Massimo Falascone, Roberto Masotti, Fabrizio Testa), Vincenzo Zitello and ODRZ (Massimo Mascheroni and Antonio Maione). Here you can see the video of my solo performance. Special thanks to Antonello and Massimo Mascheroni.
Yesterday Yugen officially started rehearsing for their return on stage, next Sept 22nd at Casa di Alex, Milan, with the Canadian band Miriodor. Maurizio Fasoli, Alessandro Cassani, Paolo Botta and Francesco Zago got together in an underground site to read music from the last cd "Death by Water". Outside the building, a group of crazy wasps decided to give us some push (in particular our bass player Alessandro).
